“After exhaustive technical profiling and background checks, no incriminating evidence or criminal affiliations were established against the suspects,” the command said in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi.

‎The statement further read: “The Kwara State Police Command wishes to update the general public on the outcome of an intelligence-led operation carried out on 4th September, 2025.
‎
‎”Based on credible intelligence received from the Divisional Police Officer, Oke-Ode, operatives of the Command and vigilantes attached to the office of the NSA on special duty at Oke-Ode intercepted a group of forty-eight (48) men along the Alade–Oreke axis, riding in clusters on fourteen (14) motorcycles. Forty-three (43) mobile phones and other personal effects were recovered.
‎
‎”The suspects underwent detailed criminal intelligence analysis and profiling. All mobile devices were subjected to digital forensic examination, which included extraction of call records, communication trails, transaction history, and geo-location mapping to establish possible links to kidnapping, banditry, or any other form of organized crime.
‎
“After exhaustive technical profiling and background checks, no incriminating evidence or criminal affiliations were established against the suspects. Consequently, all forty-eight (48) individuals have been duly released this morning( Monday).
‎
‎”The Command assures the public that the exercise was carried out with utmost professionalism, respect for human rights, and strict adherence to investigative procedures. The outcome underscores the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to act swiftly on intelligence while ensuring that innocent citizens are not unjustly criminalised.
‎
‎”We urge the good people of Kwara State to remain calm, vigilant, and cooperative by promptly sharing credible information with security agencies. Together, we will continue to safeguard our communities against criminal elements.”
