Deputy Senate president, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, has condoled with Hon. Sani Bala, chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Public Service Matters, over the death of his elder brother, Alhaji Umaru Bala Tsanyawa.
During a visit to Bala family’s residence in Kano, relatives, political associates, traditional rulers and members of the community gathered to honour the memory of the deceased.
The atmosphere was one of grief, yet also of dignity and solidarity, as tributes and prayers were offered for the repose of his soul.
Senator Barau described the passing of Alhaji Umaru Bala Tsanyawa as not only a personal tragedy to the Bala family but also a great loss to the people of Tsanyawa and beyond.
He noted that the deceased was widely revered as a man of impeccable character, humility, and wisdom, whose quiet strength and moral compass guided many.
According to the deputy senate president, his life was defined by selfless service, devotion to family, and an unwavering commitment to the values of honesty and community development.
He prayed Almighty Allah to overlook his shortcomings, envelop his grave with divine light, and grant him eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus. He further prayed for Hon. Sani Bala and the entire family, asking Allah to grant them fortitude, patience, and courage to endure the painful loss.
Senator Barau also commended Hon. Engr. Sani Bala for upholding the virtues of leadership, discipline, and integrity instilled by his late elder brother.
He assured the family of his unwavering support, stressing that moments like these remind all of the importance of unity, compassion, and shared humanity.
In his remarks, Hon. Bala expressed profound appreciation to the deputy senate president for the visit, describing it as a remarkable gesture of solidarity and brotherhood.
