Man Arraigned For Alleged Theft

One Bamidele Ayobami has been brought before a Chief Magistrate’s Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti for allegedly stealing goats.

The 37-year-old man, who was arraigned by the police, was said to have committed the offence alongside others on August 8, 2025, in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital.

The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, informed the court that the defendant and others at large conspired to steal goats on the said day at about 6 a.m.

Inspector Oriyomi said the offence is punishable under Section 421 of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.

The counsel to the defendant, Mr Oluwafemi Alabi, urged the court to grant his client bail on liberal terms.

He assured the court that his client would not jump bail.

The Chief Magistrate, Mr. Abayomi Adeosun, granted the defendant bail of N50,000 with one surety.
He adjourned the case till the 7th of October for hearing.
