Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC) has assured that no community in Ukwa West local government area of the state will be left in its electricity project.
General manager (GM) of the ASOPADEC, Joshua Onyeike stated this at various meetings he had with Owaza community leaders and the electricity committee of the area in the community.
Onyeike explained that the ASOPADEC is funding the projects in line with the directives of Governor Alex Otti and assured of prompt and efficient delivery of the project as promised by him.
He further stated that under his watch, the intervention commission had continued to give priority attention in its activities to the oil producing communities of the area and beyond.
The GM charged the traditional rulers and other community leaders to be cautious of unguided information and to sensitize the people on the need for peace and unity.
He cautioned that they should not only shun acts of backbiting but to support the efforts towards successful execution of the project and other developmental projects in the area.
Onyeike, therefore, urged the committee led by its secretary, Goodluck Eleogu to be relentless in their commitment to service and assured them of his ceaseless support.
In their speeches, Eze Obioma Nwogu of Etitioha, Eze Ikemefula Ukaegbu of Isietitioaha, and the traditional prime minister of Ipu West, Maxwell Nwagbara expressed satisfaction with the project.
Similarly, the traditional prime of Igiriukwu, Uche Nwele commanded the GM for making out time to explain the stage of execution of the project to them.
In a contribution, the secretary said they are determined to give their best in serving and assured of transparency and accountability.
