Minister of State in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Mahmoud Mariya, along with Ojuego Onyelukachukwu and Rohan Gurram, will headline the American Exchange: Fire Festival, a major side event to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

Presented by ConcordeApp and One Fuego, The Fire Festival is a landmark event themed around the UN’s global message: “Better Together: 80 Years and More for Peace, Development, and Human Rights.” It aims to serve as a pivotal convergence point for access to deal flow, capital, and impact investment, all driven by culture and community.

President-elect of UNGA 80, Annalena Baerbock, emphasised the importance of global cooperation:

She said the event would bring together UN member states, staff, civil society organisations and philanthropic partners to inspire collective action toward a better, more inclusive future.

The festival will be livestreamed globally on September 27 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM EST, in alignment with the Global Citizen Festival.
