A statement by the Command’s spokesperson, Mr Yusuf Abass, in Osogbo said that some suspects were caught committing the crimes. In contrast, others were based on credible intelligence given to the corps.

He also stated that coordinated operations in response to multiple distress calls from state residents led to some suspects’ arrest.

“One Monsuru Moshood, 35, was caught stealing electrical cables in an uncompleted building and confessed that the wires had been sold at ₦10,000, despite being valued at over ₦350,000.

“Also, a 21-year-old Oladare Yusuf was arrested for alleged theft of cocoa from a farm in Apara village.

Abass said that operatives of the corps also arrested one Hamzat Mukaila, 45,  and Tobi Omoranti, 30,  in the Ita-Olokan area of Osogbo while attempting to break into a shop.

He praised the vigilance and dedication of the operatives for their swift response and successful arrests.

According to Abass, the suspects will soon be arraigned in court after the conclusion of investigations. (NAN)
