Drawing from his experience as a former Deputy Governor of Edo State and his time playing in the NNL, Shaibu noted that his interactions with players have provided him with valuable insights into their mindset, behaviours, and motivations. He is confident that this partnership will yield a positive impact, echoing the sentiments expressed by the President of the Nigeria Football Federation and others.

Shaibu emphasised the critical importance of funding and welfare for athletes, including access to healthcare and financial support. He commended the collaboration with BetPawa, believing it will not only boost the economy but also enhance the lives of players.
