Commercial flights will begin at Ogun State’s Gateway International Airport (GWI) on October 7, 2025, with ValueJet Airlines launching a twice-weekly service on the GWI–Abuja route.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) recently cleared the facility for operations, paving the way for its first scheduled services.

According to him, the flight schedule would be every Tuesday and Thursday as the airline will operate the GWI-Abuja route, departing GWI at 8.30 am and arriving Abuja at 9.45 am.

In the return flight, Value Jet will depart the Nnamdi Azikiwe International, Abuja at 4 pm and arrive GWI at 5:15 p.m

According to the airline, tickets will be available online on Thursday, September 25, through travel agents and at ticket desks at the Gateway International Airport.
