Former Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Joanna has shed light on her relationships, strategy, and personal growth in the house following her eviction.
The recently evicted housemate spoke to journalists about fellow housemate Faith dismissing claims that he failed to stand up for her during her eviction. According to her, Faith was overwhelmed with emotions.
“If there was anybody in the house that didn’t want me to leave, it was Faith. We had a very good relationship asL friends, and I understood his silence,” she explained.
On her closeness to Jason, Joanna clarified that nothing intimate occurred. “He cuddled me once and later left my bed. It was nothing deep; people exaggerated it,” she said.
Joanna maintained she entered the house without a fixed game plan, stressing her individuality was her only strategy. “If I had a strategy during my audition, I wouldn’t have been picked. I wanted people to know Joanna first, before attaching me to anyone. My fashion was also a deliberate way to stay stylish and visible,” she noted.
She also rejected claims that she was overconfident. “I prayed to make it far, but I was not certain. Nobody could predict with 17 housemates still present in week eight. I never believed the win was already mine,” Joanna said.
On Faith’s leadership style as Head of House, Joanna described him as misunderstood. “The role only gave him dignity and some privileges. He worked hard and sometimes his style clashed with others, but I don’t see him as power drunk,” she clarified.
Joanna further addressed fellow housemate Victor’s public declaration of affection, saying she only saw him as a friend. “I made it clear from the beginning that I didn’t want that kind of relationship. But his feelings are valid,” she said.
When asked about Denari’s remark that she exaggerated conflicts, Joanna brushed it off. “Everybody has their opinion about me. Not everyone will be your person, and that’s fine,” she replied.
Reflecting on her overall journey, Joanna described the show as a period of deep personal growth. “For me, I had a rush of self-realization. By the time I understood that about myself, I began to grow within. I feel like I grew a lot through this experience,” she concluded.
