The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced the approved fare for the 2026 Hajj exercise at N8,244,813.67 per intending pilgrim and issued a deadline of the end of December 2025 for the completion of all payments.

In a statement released on Monday, the director of the Board, Mallam Kadiri Edah, urged prospective pilgrims to ensure full payment before the deadline to secure a seat for the religious journey.

Edah clarified the payment procedure, stating, “All payments to the board must be made via a bank draft, as no cash transactions will be entertained.”

He explained that this measure, along with the December deadline, was crucial to allow the Board to compile an accurate list of intending pilgrims and remit all funds to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) in a timely manner.

The director also addressed the issue of refunds for those who had made payments exceeding the new official threshold.

“We have requested those who have made payments above the actual Hajj fare to forward their account details to the Board for a refund of the excess.

“These refunds will only be paid directly into the accounts of the intending pilgrims; no cash transactions will be entertained,” he said.

He advised intending pilgrims who have already completed their payments to submit their necessary travel documents promptly.

“I advise those who have already completed the payment to forward their international passports and completed forms to their respective area officers. This will enable the Board to process their travelling documents before the deadline.

“The desire of the Board to render the best services to the FCT contingent in the forthcoming Hajj exercise in accordance with the Renewed Hope Agenda of the present Administration,” he said.
