Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank was named the ‘Microfinance Bank of the Decade’ at the 2025 Edge Awards, for its sustained commitment to customer-centric banking and its role in deepening financial inclusion across the country over the past 10 years.

The recognition, conferred by Marketing Edge, celebrates institutions that have demonstrated exceptional performance, innovation, and impact across Nigeria’s business landscape.
Acting managing director and chief executive of Advans La Fayette Microfinance Bank, Elvis Kwabena Oheneba, whilst receiving the award, expressed gratitude for the honour, describing it as a testament to the institution’s consistency and customer-first approach.

“We are immensely proud to receive this award, which reflects our ongoing commitment to pioneering financial solutions and putting our customers at the heart of everything we do. This recognition is dedicated to our loyal customers and our dedicated staff who have made our journey possible,” he said.

Also speaking, the bank’s head of Marketing and Communications, Kayode Abraham, said the award reaffirmed the bank’s leadership in digital microfinancing and its drive to serve Nigeria’s evolving financial ecosystem.

“This honour underscores our innovative approach to microfinance, leveraging technology and forward-thinking strategies to meet the needs of our diverse client base,” he noted.
