The chairman of APC Governors Forum and the governor of Imo state, Hope Uzodinma, has said the nation’s economy has become stable while inflation has declined.
He spoke yesterday at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi from a communique read before newsmen after the forum’s meeting.
According to him, the meeting served as a vital convergence for harmonising state level policies, reinforcing national development synergy and defending the progressives governance ideal founded on people’s leadership, institutional integrity and inter governmental cooperation.
He added that the Nigerian economy is stable and growing while inflation is on the decline, and interest rates are on the downward trajectory.
The forum commended President Tinubu’s foresight in initiating economic reforms and affirmed it support for all government policies for shared responsibilities.
Uzodinma also revealed that the forum undertook comprehensive appraisal of the national political, security and economic development and expressed satisfaction with the advancement of federalism, evidence of understanding and engagement between the federal and the state governments, noting the visible projects in physical reform, food security, power sector, infrastructure mobilisation and social interventions.
The APC governors chairman also expressed satisfaction with the collaborative structure of the programme involving the federal government which spreads to local government areas as a model of cooperative federalism in inclusive development.
