Police operatives have arrested a sexagenarian, Mohammed Sani, for allegedly stealing a Bajaj motorcycle in Kontogora town of Niger State.

It was learnt that operatives from the ‘B’ Division, Kontagora, with the help of vigilante members, arrested the 63-year-old man from Tungan-Gero of Mashegu local government area.

The police command’s spokesperson, Wasiu Abiodun, who confirmed the incident, said ” the suspect was arrested at Tugan-Kawo village in the process of stealing a Bajaj motorcycle.”

“He was found with a bunch of motorcycle keys, which he used to steal motorcycles. He confessed to the crime and the owner of the motorcycle was later identified,” Abiodun said.
And in continuation of the fight against thuggery and other social vices in Minna, police operatives attached to ‘A’ and ‘B’ Division raided blackspots at Tudun-Natsira, Baida, Angwan-Kaje, PZ Area, Sabon-Gari, Abdulsalam Quarters and parts of Gwari Market and arrested five suspects
Abiodun said some unidentified hoodlums broke into a house within Bosso Low-Cost Estate and stole four steel doors, two burglary proofs, 24 windows, about 24-metre borehole cable and 12 bags of cement.

He said based on diligent investigation and technical intelligence, five suspects were arrested in connection with the crime.
