Klopp Leaves Door Open For Liverpool Return

Jürgen Klopp has stated that a return to Liverpool could be “theoretically possible,” but he clarified that he does not miss coaching. Klopp departed Liverpool after nine successful years in 2024, citing a lack of energy. He has since taken on a role with Red Bull as head of global soccer.

While he has indicated that he does not plan to return to management, he acknowledged that a future return to Liverpool is not out of the question. “I’ve said I will never coach another team in England, which means if I return, it will be Liverpool,” Klopp told the *Diary of a CEO* podcast.

He continued, “I love what I do now; I don’t miss coaching in the traditional sense. I am coaching, but in a different capacity. I don’t miss the rain-soaked hours or frequent press conferences.”

Klopp also shared insights about his interactions with his successor, Arne Slot, who secured the Premier League title in his first season. He praised Slot for his ability to manage the team and adapt following a busy transfer window.
