The Africa Women Conference (AWC) has extended condolences to Ghana over the passing of their former first lady, Mrs Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.

Mrs Rawlings died at the age of 76 on Thursday in Accra, nearly five years after the death of her husband, former president Jerry Rawlings, in 2020.

In a statement, co-convener of AWC, Dr Jumai Ahmadu said Nana Rawlings’ legacy as a tireless advocate for women’s empowerment and her significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Ghana will forever be remembered.
