Povlsen’s visit was announced on the official X handle of the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The Danish billionaire, who was accompanied by the Ambassador of Denmark to Nigeria, Mr. Jens Bach Hansen, and other officials, held a closed-door meeting with President Tinubu alongside key members of the administration.

Those in attendance included the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, and the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani.

The Bestseller Foundation, a private philanthropic organisation funded by the Danish fashion company Bestseller A/S, focuses on driving social and environmental impact, particularly in West Africa. Its work supports entrepreneurship and sustainable ventures that deliver both social and financial returns in communities linked to Bestseller’s global value chain.

Before the meeting with the Nigerian President, the delegation was received by the Chief of Staff and the Minister of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy.
