FULafia Gets New Vice Chancellor

The Governing Council of the Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) in Nasarawa State has approved the appointment of a new vice-chancellor for the University.

He is Prof. Mohammed Isa Kida, the Dean of Faculty of Management Science of the University.

Kida, an accountant, received his letter of appointment from the Chairman of the FULafia Governing Council, Mrs Lola Fibisola Akande.

The letter stated that Kida’s appointment would last for a single tenure of five years starting from February 11, 2026.

The letter, issued by the chairman of the council, dated October 29, 2025, hoped that Kida would bring “his wealth of experience to bear on the growth and development of the University.”

He succeeds Prof. Shehu Abdul Rahman, who leaves office in February 2026.
