According to the statement, those killed included Ishaya Raymond, Gyang Raymond,
Dauda Yakubu, Sunday Adamu, Calvin Elisha
and Isaac Gyang.

He disclosed that the attack occurred after suspected armed Fulani herdsmen on motorbikes from Fass attacked and shot dead Mr. Kurang Daniel, who was harvesting his maize at about 4:00pm.

“Information available to the Berom Youths Moulder Association has it that armed Fulani herdsmen have falsely framed up a usual lie and fallacy to security operatives that the natives of Kwi attacked their cows which has not been proved.

“This is not new to us that anytime Fulani militants have planned attack, they will always frame up false accusations, labelling our people as aggressors so as to divert attention and justify pogrom on innocent people,” he stated.

BYM further appealed to Sector 4 Operation Enduring Peace to use all its arsenals and professionalism to arrest the armed Fulani that make such baseless and misleading accusations for investigation and prosecution.
