The Jigawa State Government has handed over 10 new Toyota Hilux vehicles to the state police command to strengthen security patrols across the state.

The State Police Commissioner, CP Dahiru Muhammad, announced this in a press statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, SP Shisu Lawal.

CP Dahiru stated that the vehicle donation will help the command strengthen its security patrols, enabling timely intervention in emergencies and responses to distress calls.

He commended Governor Malam Umar Namadi for the support, describing it as a demonstration of the state government’s commitment to sustainable security, peace, and stability.

“The vehicles will aid us in sustaining the ongoing fight against the sale and consumption of illicit drugs, cattle rustling, burglary, kidnapping, armed robbery, and other related crimes. This effort will continue in collaboration with sister security agencies and the community,” the CP said.

He assured that the command would maintain professionalism and humanity in its fight against crime and criminality.

“I am calling on residents to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and cooperative with the police in our collective effort to maintain a safe and secure environment for all,” CP Dahiru stated.

The commissioner further assured the government and people of Jigawa State that the vehicles will be deployed judiciously and maintained properly to ensure effective policing.
