Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has warned trying to cause a rift between him and the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, to back off.
LEADERSHIP reports that the governor and the APC national chairman are members of Gindiri Old Students Association (GOSA).

According to him, such an act hampers smooth working relationships and deprives the state of greater benefits they stand to enjoy from their synergy.

Mutfwang made the disclosure in a video obtained by LEADERSHIP while speaking at Gindiri Old Students Association, GOSA, 2025 reunion service in Gindiri, last Saturday.

He explained that Plateau stands to benefit a lot in the cordial working relationship between Nentawe and himself based on the exalted positions they occupy.

“Myself and my brother Nentawe are not in competition in anyway. I prayed to God to stop fuelers of division.

“I want to also say this very clearly. The position Prof. Nentawe is occupying is not one versus the other. We can actually hold hands together and make the Plateau greater, he said.

According to him, “Those of you who are in the habit of fueling hatred and division, may the Lord stop you.

“There are discussion rooms I cannot enter. There are discussion rooms he will not enter.

The governor further maintained that “And if both of us go in with the mind that we must bring something back home, it is for the good of our own people.

Mutfwang further argued that “So, let me encourage all of you, rather than sowing seeds of discord, do all you can to promote our working together. The Lord will help us.”
