Justice Obiora Egwuatu of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, has affirmed Chief Kenneth Udeze as the lawfully recognised national chairman of Action Alliance (AA).

The court dismissed the case filed by Adekunle Rufai Omoaje faction of the party, challenging the chairmanship of Udeze.

His faction had filed the case in suit number FHC/CS/12/2024 praying the court to recognise his faction and their National convention held in Abeokuta, Ogun State, as being lawful and valid.

After considering the legal submissions of Ezenwa Ibegbunam, Counsel to Chief Udeze and the long list of judgements of various courts on the issue, the court agreed with the submission of Ibegbunam and dismissed the suit.

This has brought to an end the lingering leadership tussle affecting the party.

The party can now focus on participating in upcoming elections in the country.

Reacting to the judgement, Chief Kenneth Udeze described the landmark judgement as a vindication of rule of law in the country and have laid to rest the issue of the illegal and fictitious claim of Omoaje over the party leadership.

Chief Udeze also commended INEC for its respect for the rule of law and for upholding due process in handling the leadership issues.
