2-yr-old Boy Dies After Falling Into Well In Kano

Tragedy struck in Kano, on Friday, when a two-year-old boy named Danjuma Salman died after falling into a well at Bajallabe in Gwale local government area of Kano State.

The Kano State Fire Service confirmed the incident in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, ACFO Saminu Yusif Abdullahi.

According to Abdullahi, the Service received a distress call around 10:05 a.m. from one Saminu Dayyabu, reporting that a child had fallen into a well with a damaged lid.

He revealed that the agency’s emergency response team from its headquarters was immediately mobilised to the scene, where they found the boy inside the well.

“By the grace of God, our team successfully rescued him unconscious, but he was later confirmed dead,” Abdullahi said.

The victim’s remains were later handed over to his father, Salman Dayyabu, for burial according to Islamic rites.
