Beneficiaries of the empowerment scheme of the constituency project launched by Hon Unyime Idem, the House of Representatives member for Ukanafun/Oruk Anam federal government of Akwa Ibom State have applauded the poverty alleviation programme of the lawmaker.
The four beneficiaries selected as part of the 18th batch of the Rep Idem’s Foreign Skills and Human Capital Development (FSHCD) programme, including Peter Saturday Peter, Ndifreke Sunday Otu, Anietie Mark Etuk and Emmanson Aniekan Eno, had cause to heap praises on the lawmaker for effective representation.
Speaking on behalf of others, Peter, described the feat as a “trademark of effective representation and human capital development following his sponsorship of four Akwa Ibom youths to the People’s Republic of China for advanced training in Eco-Leather Technology and Digital Security.”
Hon. Idem, the House Committee Chairman on Public Procurement, LEADERSHIP learnt, undertook the gesture as part of his commitment to empowering 100 Akwa Ibom youths with globally competitive skills.
During the send-forth ceremony hosted by the lawmaker, Peter expressed gratitude for the opportunity, noting that “the training modules are rich, transformative, and aligned with emerging global technologies.”
According to him, “the exposure will enhance effectiveness and broaden our capacity to contribute meaningfully to the communities and the nation.”
He applauded Rep Idem for his impactful representation, citing what he described as “strong legislative performance, diligent oversight duties, and exceptional record in human capital development”, and appreciated the lawmaker for selecting and sponsoring the beneficiaries for the China programme.
