The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested four suspected armed robbers in connection with a recent house burglary along Jos Road in the state capital.

The arrest followed a complaint lodged by one Everest Jonathan at the ‘B’ Divisional Police headquarters on November 11 that about five armed men invaded his residence at night and carted away valuable items.

According to the police, the stolen items included an android smartphone, one phone, a travelling bag, two pairs of sneakers, a set of clothes, and other personal belongings.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bauchi Command, CSP Ahmed Wakil, said upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Holman Simon, led a team of detectives to the scene for an immediate assessment and investigation.

He added that Police preliminary investigations revealed that one of the suspects, a 20-year-old Alhassan Jibrin, popularly known as Babani Biri and a resident of Danjuma Goje area of Bauchi, unknowingly left behind his Android phone during the robbery operation, which left a clue leading to his arrest.
