The Director of Election Management at the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Headquarters, Mallam Tasiu Mohammed, has paid a courtesy and familiarisation visit to the Philippine Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency Mersole J. Mellejor, at the Embassy of the Philippines in Abuja.
The visit, according to Mallam Mohammed, was aimed at strengthening mutual understanding and exploring potential areas of cooperation between Nigeria and the Philippines, particularly in the areas of diplomacy, education, trade, investment, and technology.
In his remarks, Ambassador Mellejor commended the APC-led government for its ongoing efforts toward deepening democratic governance, economic reforms, and inclusive development across the country. He expressed optimism that the Philippines and Nigeria could leverage their shared values and experiences to enhance bilateral relations and people-to-people partnerships.
Mallam Mohammed emphasised the importance of broad-based collaboration between governments and citizens of both nations, stressing that such engagements could open new opportunities for youth empowerment, business exchange, and technological innovation.
He further noted that Nigeria’s democratic progress and reform-driven governance under the APC administration continue to attract the attention of international partners who are keen on sharing experiences and fostering cooperation in governance and development.
The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to sustain dialogue and build frameworks that would promote bilateral friendship, investment cooperation, and the exchange of knowledge and expertise between the two countries
