North Central zone of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has urged President Bola Tinubu to increase budgetary allocation to the National Hydro Power Producing Areas Commission (N-HYPPADEC) for expansion of its intervention programmes.

The coordinator of NANS  in the zone,  Comrade Hussaini Jamilu Ebbo, made the demand at a news conference in Minna yesterday.

He said more funds would enable the commission execute more projects, and expand its interventions to improve lives in communities suffering the effect of flood caused by  excess discharge of water from hydro-power dams.

He assured of NANS continued support and commitment to work with the present administration to build a better Nigeria, while commending President Tinubu for reappointing the N-HYPPADEC managing director, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq Yelwe, as a testament of the confidence in his leadership.
