His Royal Highness, Mkpe Emperor John Dimkpa, the paramount ruler of Alesa Eleme in Rivers State, has urged Nigerians to continue praying for President Bola Tinubu, insisting that the country remains united despite challenges.

He made the call during the 2025 National Peace and Praise Conference in Abuja, themed “Arise, Let’s Unite and Build Nigeria.”

Dimkpa said Nigerians were living in peace and must remain committed to unity.

“We are mostly here to pray for the peace and unity of Nigeria,” he said.

He stressed that President Tinubu, like every other Nigerian, faced personal challenges and deserved national prayers.

“The president is a leader. He has his own problems, just like you and me. We must pray for him. Even the Bible says, pray for your leaders,” he added.

The monarch said his prayers for Nigeria, Africa and the world were based on divine instruction.

“Let’s unite and build a new Nigeria,” he urged.

Dimkpa dismissed claims of division, saying Nigerians at home and abroad must recognise that the country remains one.

“We may have our differences, but we believe in one God. This country is united,” he said.

He noted that no president could be everywhere and called on those entrusted with responsibilities across states to give their best for national development.

“This country can solve its problems. We are here to pray for unity and progress, not politics,” he said.

Also speaking, Bishop Sharon Jefferson, popularly known as Mama Africa, said the conference was not just for Nigeria but for global peace.

“It’s about bringing the world into unity. We are here to join hands with the King and pray for peace in the United States as well as Nigeria,” she said.

Jefferson urged Nigerians to forgive, let go of bitterness, and pray with sincerity.

“Your prayers have to be righteous. You can’t pray with hatred and expect things to go well,” she warned.

She said true peace could only be achieved when people purify their hearts and embrace forgiveness.
