Group Hails Binta’s Appointment To Head Trafficking In Persons Agency

The Arewa Youth Forum (AYF) has described the appointment of Mrs. Binta L. Adamu Bello as the Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) as a masterstroke by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Mrs. Bello, a seasoned administrator with a wealth of experience in public service, has an impressive track record of delivering results in various capacities, including her tenure as federal permanent secretary in several ministries.

A statement signed by the national president of AYF, said, “Mrs. Bello’s appointment is a testament to President Tinubu’s commitment to meritocracy and good governance.

“She is the best candidate for the job, and we are confident that she will bring a fresh perspective and a strong commitment to the Agency.

“We have no doubt that Mrs. Bello will be a game-changer at NAPTIP,” the statement added.

“Her experience in social development, women’s affairs, and poverty alleviation makes her the ideal person to tackle the scourge of human trafficking in Nigeria.

“We also take this opportunity to call on women from Northern Nigeria to use Mrs. Bello as a role model and give her all the necessary support that will make her deliver on the mandate of her office, as she becomes a beacon of hope and inspiration for young women from the region,” the statement said.

The AYF assured Mrs Bello of its full support and cooperation as she assumes her new role, expressing confidence that under her leadership, NAPTIP will be revitalised and empowered to effectively combat human trafficking and protect the rights of vulnerable Nigerians.

 

The AYF also congratulated Mrs. Bello on her appointment, wishing her success in her new role.
