‘I’ve Conducted Over 70 Mass Burials,’ Nigerian Cleric Dachomo Reveals On TV Show

A cleric with the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, has declared that he personally conducted over 70 mass burials, including a single grave where 501 people were killed in one night.

Dachomo made the revelation while addressing alleged Christian genocide claims in Nigeria during his appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

The cleric, who spoke after Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, and former Canadian MP Goldie Ghamari clashed over casualty figures, said the scale of killings in parts of northern Nigeria was far beyond what authorities were willing to admit.

He alleged that multiple attacks and mass fatalities have been repeatedly downplayed by those in power.

According to Dachomo, one of the most horrific incidents occurred in Dogolawa, where “501 people were killed in one night” and buried together, an attack he said the government refused to acknowledge publicly.

Reacting to the federal government’s position that reports of genocide were exaggerated, the clergyman accused past political actors of enabling extremist groups for political gain.

“Boko Haram was created by many in the hierarchy of the government to remove (former President) Goodluck Jonathan who is a Christian,” he said.

“There was riot in many villages, people relocated, their target was to kill the Christians because of Goodluck. That was why Goodluck accepted defeat before the result was announced.”

He argued that if former President Jonathan had insisted on challenging the election outcome, “many more Christians in the North would have gone into the grave because it was declared a jihad.”

Dachomo further narrated several incidents he described as systematic attacks on Christian communities in Borno and surrounding states.

He recalled that insurgents frequently targeted worshippers on Sundays, “In Borno they would go to villages on Sunday and lock Christians inside the church. They poured gasoline and set the church ablaze. All the Christians inside were burnt to death.”

“In another village, they slaughtered all the men in the church, both young and old, then divided the women among themselves and sexual harassment took place.”

The cleric emphasised that while Christians have borne the brunt of many attacks, Muslims have also been victims due to sect rivalries among extremist groups.

He cited conflicts between factions trained in Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia.

“Some Muslims are also killed because of sect differences. After killing the Christians close to them, they started fighting each other. The Izala started fighting the Sunni. Today, ISWAP and Boko Haram are killing each other.”

Dachomo ended by calling on US President Donald Trump to continue his interest in the situation in Nigeria.

“My message to Donald Trump is that he should not stop what he is doing because it tallies with the Bible. He should come. There is genocide in Nigeria and he will help both the Muslims as well,” Dachomo said.
