Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to commission 233 new housing units at the Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate in Ajah, located along the Lekki–Epe Expressway in Lagos.
This was confirmed in a statement issued on Thursday by the State’s Commissioner for Housing, Mr. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, and signed by Mr. Ganiu Lawal, Deputy Director of Public Affairs at the Lagos State Ministry of Housing.
According to the commissioner, the housing units scheduled for inauguration on Friday will increase the state’s housing supply to meet the rising demand for quality accommodation.
He also stated that the project includes 34 blocks with a total of 233 housing units, noting that the estate is a joint venture between the Lagos State Government and Urban Shelter Ltd., a private real estate company.
Akinderu-Fatai emphasised that the ministry remained dedicated to providing affordable and quality homes in line with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s promise to complete all ongoing housing projects across the state.
With the opening of the new 233-unit development at the Abraham Adesanya Housing Estate, the Lagos State government continued to affirm its commitment to expanding affordable and quality housing across the state.
The project adds to a series of recent housing initiatives, including the 420 units commissioned in Ajah in October 2025, underscoring Governor Sanwo-Olu’s ongoing efforts to address Lagos’ growing housing needs and enhance residents’ living standards.
