Akinselure Urges Nigerians To Unite, Uphold Justice

The convener of Operation Rebuilding the Broken Walls and Hope Initiative, Apostle (Dr) Paul Akinselure, has called on Nigeria’s leaders, institutions and citizens to work together to strengthen unity, uphold justice and safeguard democratic values.

He said Nigeria remained richly blessed and endowed, but must take deliberate steps to guarantee fairness for all.

In a statement issued in Abuja yesterday, Akinselure urged the government and the public to begin efforts to address persistent religious tensions across the country, describing such actions as crucial for national stability and progress.

He expressed concern with the security challenges faced by Christian communities, saying recurring attacks in some regions must be openly acknowledged and decisively tackled.

He also questioned the identities and motives of those responsible for the violence, urging security agencies to intensify investigations to ensure accountability.

Akinselure further criticised what he termed political and constitutional imbalances in Nigeria, arguing that the current structures contribute to perceptions of marginalisation and raise doubts about inclusivity in governance. He maintained that the country’s constitutional and political frameworks require urgent review to promote fairness, equity and genuine secular representation.

He said Nigeria cannot achieve meaningful development without confronting and correcting what he described as “systemic wrongs” hindering unity and justice.
