Truck Crushes AMAC Revenue Collector

A revenue collector for Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) has been crushed to death by a truck driver at Area One roundabout.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the victim, whose name has not been identified before press time, stopped the truck to collect the daily ticket from the driver.

However, the driver had was reluctant in paying the fee, pleading that he had no money

But in his effort to ensure that he collected the fee, the revenue collector hung on the vehicle on the driver’s side, while it was moving.

LEADERSHIP learnt that it was in the process of ensuring that he collected the money that he fell off the truck and was crushed by the vehicle.

The driver attempted to escape, but was apprehended by other revenue collectors and passers-by in the area, who wanted to lynch him, before some security agents intervened

The truck driver, however, escaped when some security agent, including policemen, vehicle inspection officers (VIOs) tried to precent the situation from degenerating.
