Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi has charged media practitioners to brace up to the challenges of promoting issues that would bring about the development of the society and wellbeing of humanity.

Obi, who spoke yesterday at the unveiling of an Anambra state-based privately published Newspaper, Razor Newspaper also advised media owners and practitioners to always be conscious of the risks  which the profession poses the practitioners.

He, however, urged them not to compromise the interest of the society and their personal integrity no matter the risks posed them.

The former Anambra state governor represented by his media aide, Valentine Obienyem also reminded the owners of the Razor Newspaper to remember that Newspaper business is capital intensive and advised them to always strive towards doing a successful business, and pledged his support to ensure that the Newspaper succeeded.

Obi who was honoured as “The Most Popular Nigerian in 2022” by The Razor Newspaper management during event held at the state secretariat of Anambra state council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Awka, emphasised that the media has a great role to play in the advancement of the country’s democracy and urged the practitioners not to fail.
