During the event, Governor Fintiri announced a ₦1.8 billion donation to the UNIMAID Endowment Fund on behalf of the Northeast Governors’ Forum (NEGF)—a major boost aimed at strengthening the institution’s development and academic excellence.
The ceremony also witnessed remarkable philanthropic gestures, including ₦2 billion from Dr. Mohammed Indimi, ₦250 million from Chief Emeka Offor, and ₦200 million contributed by members of the Northeast National Assembly Caucus.
The Vice President, Sen. Kashim Shettima, Governor Baba Gana Zulum, and several other governors and dignitaries attended the celebration, underscoring the significance of the milestone event for the Northeast region.
