The Katsina State Police Command said it addressed 123 criminal cases and made significant strides in protecting lives and property across the state in the month of November.
The revelation was contained in a statement issued by the Command’s spokesman, DSP Abubakar Sadiq Aliyu, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu, adding that the cases ranged from violent crimes to economic offences and illicit drug activities.
These, he said reflect the diverse challenges confronting law enforcement in Katsina.
According to him, out of these cases, 108 have already been charged to court, while a handful remain under investigation, underscoring the Command’s relentless pursuit of justice.
Police also said firearms, vehicles, rustled livestock, illicit drugs, and even stolen high-tension cables were recovered during targeted operations, sending a clear message to criminals that Katsina is not a haven for lawlessness.
DSP Aliyu stressed further that while the achievements were encouraging, the fight against crime was far from over.
He called on residents to remain vigilant, provide timely information, and work hand-in-hand with the Police to maintain security in the state.
“The 123 cases reported this month are a stark reminder of the challenges we face, but they also reflect our commitment to safeguarding every citizen.
“Katsina is safer today because the Police are committed, proactive, and ready to act,” the CP said in the statement.
