The member representing Yarro constituency in the Taraba State House of Assembly, Hon. Joseph Konnah Kassong, has commended the development initiatives of Governor Agbu Kefas.

He said they were  boosting economic activities and improving the well-being of the people.

In an interview with LEADERSHIP in Jalingo, the lawmaker said the construction of road projects across the state, especially abandoned projects by the previous administrations, is one of the best decisions taken by Governor Kefas.

“For the past few weeks, there has been jubilation in the entire Yorro local government, the people are happy that the road is awarded and construction work has commenced. The people have seen for themselves the marvelous work that is going on, and how the governor has mobilized contractors to sites.

“Some of my people in the constituency are already saying that, Governor Kefas is a godsend to them, for doing what others could not do over the years, because they have seen it on ground. Some even assured me that, when the time comes, they will reciprocate his good works by mobilizing votes for him to return as Governor in 2027,” Hon. Kassong said.

While appreciating the governor for the sustainable peace initiative and his visionary leadership, he assured the people of more development in the constituency, if they maintain the level of support to the government.

The state lawmaker, who mentioned some of his achievements in the last two years, said banditry and kidnappers almost overwhelmed them, but for the intervention of Governor Kefas.

“Before the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas, the activities of bandits and kidnappers had taken over the area. Yarro used to be a no go area for farmers as farmers have no right to harvest their produce, and business activities had crippled. But, as we speak, Yorro is one of the most peaceful local governments in the state.”
