Security operatives have reportedly arrested a medical doctor who was allegedly transporting drugs from Sokoto to kidnappers in parts of Kwara State.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the doctor was intercepted in Jebba, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State following intelligence reports about the activities of the kidnappers and their couriers.

It was learnt that the criminal gangs appeared desperate for medical care following gunshot injuries sustained in encounters with security forces.

“So, we are advising improved security measures in health facilities in thickly forested areas which the kidnappers may target,” a source said.
