The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Department of State Services (DSS) in Edo State have resolved to collaborate in tackling fraud and other forms of economic and financial crimes.
This resolution was made when the EFCC acting zonal director, Benin zonal directorate, deputy commander of the EFCC, DCE Sa’ad Hanafi Sa’ad, paid a courtesy visit to the DSS state director, Isaac Chikere in Edo State.
Sa’ad told the DSS director that he recently assumed office and was on a familiarisation visit aimed at strengthening and deepening existing relationships between the two agencies in the fight against graft and other forms of economic and financial crimes in the state.
He said, “We have been collaborating in the past, we need to continue to do that as no institution or organisation can do it all alone. Collaboration is one of our core values as an organisation and it is key in tackling the menace of corruption”.
Chikere, while responding, commended the commission on the fight against economic and financial crimes, noting that the EFCC was a critical institution in the growth and development of the country.
