Prominent political and community leaders from Kwara North have convened in Ilorin to discuss unity and development strategies ahead of the 2027 political cycle.
The meeting which was convened under the theme “Kwara North 2027: One People, One Voice” brought together senatorial aspirants AbdulKadir Attahiru Adamu Manko, Dr Mahmud Sodangi, Dr Kolo Baba Jiya and Mohammed Mohammed Essanti.
Also in attendance were Senator Umar Sadiq, representing Kwara North, and Dr Saba Ajiya Tsonga, a member of the House of Representatives for the constituency.
Other participants included governorship aspirants Tajudeen Makama of Lafiagi, Hon. Dalandi Yakubu, Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, and several other governorship hopefuls. Party elders, stakeholders from across the district, youth groups, and traditional leaders, including Dan Iyan Kayama, were also present.
Discussions focused on strengthening unity in the district, building strategic partnerships, and promoting inclusive governance. Participants also explored development priorities and political alignment as the region positions itself for the 2027 elections.
The engagement concluded with a shared commitment to promote sustainable growth and enhance public service delivery throughout Kwara North.
