The Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State council, has congratulated Dr Patrick Akhere Ebojele on his appointment as the chief press secretary (CPS) to the Edo State governor, Monday Okpebholo.
The chapel described Dr Ebojele’s elevation as a well-deserved recognition of his professionalism, versatility and longstanding contributions to journalism and public communication.
The commendation was contained in a statement jointly issued on Friday by the chairman, Patrick Ochoga and the secretary, Elder Patrick Ahanor.
According to the statement, Dr Ebojele’s wealth of experience across reputable media organisations, along with his distinguished record in public administration and academics, places him in an excellent position to steer the governor’s media engagements.
The chapel expressed confidence that the new CPS would bring clarity, transparency and renewed dynamism to the communication machinery of the Edo State government.
”Ebojele’s appointment reflects the Edo State Government commitment to fostering a more open, responsive, and people-oriented information system,” the statement added.
The Correspondents’ Chapel further pledged its support and cooperation as the new CPS assumes “this important responsibility,” and wished him success in advancing a constructive and professional working relationship between the government and journalists in the state.
