In a bold statement of what a local tech company can achieve, HoganHost has clinched the 2025 ‘Most Innovative Web Hosting Company of the Year’ at the Nigeria Technology Awards (NITA) 2025.

In 2025, HoganHost rolled out a string of real innovations: It launched a FreeDNS service — giving developers, businesses and everyday Nigerians a free, reliable way to manage DNS records; it became ZARC-accredited, strengthening its capacity to register and manage African domain names — signalling its ambition beyond Nigeria; it unveiled a public domain-marketplace, the first of its kind among hosting firms in Nigeria: now domain owners can list active or expired domains publicly, making domain trading more transparent and accessible; it entered a strategic partnership with global cloud provider DigitalOcean to roll out instant cloud-hosting across Africa starting January 2026 — a move set to give African businesses and devs access to global-standard cloud infrastructure without leaving the continent.

These steps showed HoganHost isn’t just competing with local providers — it’s racing with global standards, and winning.

At the heart of all this are co-founders Joseph Effiok Hogan (CEO) and Atim Hogan (COO). Their leadership has driven efforts to make hosting affordable, accessible and forward-looking — building tools and infrastructure that serve not only established businesses, but developers, startups, and individuals across Nigeria and Africa.

By winning this award in a tech environment shared with heavyweights like OPay, Infinix, and other institutions like NITDA, NDIC, and CAC, the win underscored a simple truth: innovation doesn’t depend on size, but understanding what people need, and delivering it with excellence.
