The Movement for the Survival of the Izon Ethnic Nationality in the Niger Delta (MOSIEND) heartily congratulates the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr Samuel Ogbuku on the two prestigious awards recently conferred on him by reputable national institutions.
These honours, coming after independent, critical assessments, are not just personal achievements but are a resounding endorsement of the purposeful, visionary, and result-driven leadership currently steering the NDDC.
Only recently, MOSIEND commended the two years of effective, efficient, and profoundly impactful stewardship of the NDDC Board led by Chairman Chiedu Ebie and MD/CEO Dr Sramuel Ogbuku. MOSIEND noted that their tenure has redefined what responsible leadership should look like in the region, as evidenced by the progress that is visible across the region.
The applauds President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio, and the Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, for their unwavering support, which has strengthened NDDC’s capacity to perform.
The also noted that equitable project distribution, completion of long-abandoned projects, renewed hope for communities once sidelined, provision of needed infrastructure, social interventions, strategic gap-closing projects and programs that strengthen unity and cooperation among Niger Deltans are some of the new developmental initiatives by the commission.
As a group, we reckon that this Board represents a team, the Niger Delta has never seen before, they are a cohesive and visionary group that understands its mandate, aligns with Mr President’s developmental agenda, and executes its duties with uncommon passion, speed, and commitment.
We are immensely proud of Dr Ogbuku and the Board Chairman, Mr Ebie, and the entire NDDC leadership team—illustrious sons of the region who have chosen to rewrite the narrative, correct the wrongs of past administrations, and deliver the true dividends of democracy to our people.
We call on all Niger Deltans—regardless of tribe, tongue, or political affiliation- to rally behind this progressive board, eschew the pull-him-down mentality, and give the leadership the support needed to consolidate the gains achieved.
