The lawmaker representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, has
reiterated his commitment to peace, humanitarian support, and improved healthcare for his constituents.
Senator Katung stated this during the delivery of essential relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) across communities affected by terrorism in the region.
Mattresses, mosquito nets and blankets were distributed to selected rural hospitals as part of the federal lawmaker’s ongoing efforts to strengthen primary healthcare delivery in Southern Kaduna.
Speaking through his Chief of Staff, Hon. Aku Joshua Shai, Katung reaffirmed his dedication to supporting vulnerable families and rebuilding communities affected by insecurity.
According to Shai, “This initiative by Senator Katung is aimed at cushioning the effects of terrorism on affected families and communities.”
Senator Katung also emphasised the importance of compassion and collective responsibility in times of crisis.
“Our people have suffered unimaginable losses. It is our duty to stand with them, support them, and work tirelessly to restore peace and hope in Southern Kaduna,” he said.
Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kachia and Kauru LGAs, Engr. Sanusi Jibrin and Garba Stephen Dakut, who witnessed the distribution, commended the Senator’s consistent commitment to the welfare of his constituents.
They expressed gratitude for his benevolence and prayed for enduring peace in the region.
The relief items distributed included mattresses, cooking pots, stoves, towels, buckets, soap, detergents, mats, blankets, and mosquito nets.
