Mrs Dora Olanrewaju Kayode, an FA licensed female football agent, is Nigerian-raised and thriving in the cumbersome career of player-representation where many men have fizzled out.
Dora Kayode, who doubles as the first female FA Licensed Football Agent in Nigeria, and a trained Lawyer, is hitting the figures and occupying a special space in the same circle as international male football agents in the class of Jorge Mendes, Jonathan Barnett, Volker Struth, among others.
She attended Federal Government Girls’ College, Umuahia, Abia State, and obtained a law degree at Madonna University Okija, Anambra State. The beauty with brains diva and WAG currently represents her husband and Nigerian star footballer, Olarenwaju Ayobami Kayode, a former Golden Eaglets, Flying Eagles and Dream Team’s loan. In 2020, she facilitated her hubby’s loan move from Shaktar Donetsk to Turkish Super Lig outfit, Sivasspor.
Dora Kayode, a highly family-oriented woman with three dotting boys, has used her experience and position to help footballers who barely managed to cope off the pitch because of the encumbrances caused by contractual agreements.
Despite a handful of other foreign female licensed football agents, such as Colleen Howe, Lonnie Murray and the British football agent, Rachel Anderson, who represented Julian Dicks, Michael Hughes and more than 40 football players over her career, Mrs Dora Olanrewaju Kayode has continued to keep her head up and earning her place among the best among the female folks in the business.
For Dora Kayode’s outstanding achievements as a symbol of unicorn in her career, she was honoured as the Outstanding Female Football Agent of 2021, after a stellar year of positive contributions to the development of the game in the country, at the 11th Diamond Special Recognition Awards Worldwide 2021, Nigeria Edition, which held in Lagos.
Dora Kayode has also proven to be a woman of foresight. The football agent is also into real estate, with investments in properties in Lagos and across the country. She understands the game and time, that her husband would not play football till eternity.
Areas she has invested in the sector include residential properties, commercial real estate, which comprises office buildings, hotels, shopping centers, and also conservation lands.
