Dear Boss,

It’s been five years since you left us, but your beautiful memories and legacies we will never forget.

The news of your sudden death on December 11, 2020, threw many of us into deep mourning.  Although it’s been five years now, it still feels like a dream to me that you are no longer here.

Each time I remember how you nurtured a young, promising girl into the woman I am today, I can’t help but wish death had never taken you away just when I needed you the most.

It is with great sadness that I remember the life and legacy of my beloved boss, Uncle Sam. To me, Uncle Sam was not just a boss, but also a father figure and a great mentor.

His presence in my life and that of so many others whom he positively impacted is a testament to the power of kindness, generosity, and dedication.

Tribute To Dan Agbese

The late Uncle Sam’s leadership was a unique blend of passion, energy, and compassion. He was a man of strong convictions – fearless and unafraid to speak his mind and stand up for what he believed in. His erratic nature was a reflection of his creative genius, as he consistently pushed boundaries and challenged the status quo. He spoke truth to power irrespective of whose ox is gored.

From a distance, the late Uncle Sam was feared by many, but beneath his bold exterior was a man who had a heart of gold…he was a kind soul, always willing to lend help to those in need. He was generous to a fault.

If there was one thing I learnt from the late Uncle Sam, it was kindness.

His kindness and empathy inspired many of us to be better versions of ourselves, and his impact on our lives will be felt for years to come.

His legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched and the values he instilled in them.

To say I miss him is an understatement.  Each time I try to write a tribute for the late Sam, it’s always difficult to hold back my tears.

Dear Boss, I, however, have good news for you. I know wherever you are, you will be happy at the progress LEADERSHIP has made by carrying on with your ‘BIG IDEAS.’

You left behind a great family, friends, and mentees who will continue to carry your torch forward.

As you continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord, your memory remains a blessing to us all, and your legacy will never be forgotten.

I miss you.
