PalmPay has launched Purple December, a month-long digital campaign designed to celebrate and reward its growing community of users nationwide during the festive season.

The campaign, which runs from December 1 to December 26, is a social media-driven activation that encourages PalmPay users to participate in simple weekly online tasks for a chance to win prizes, including smartphones, earbuds, airtime and data vouchers, as well as branded gift items. Four winners are expected to emerge weekly as activities go live across PalmPay’s social media platforms.

Speaking on the initiative, Olorunfemi Hanson, Head of Marketing and Communications at PalmPay, said, “Purple December reflects the company’s commitment to appreciating customer loyalty while amplifying real-life stories of Nigerians who use the platform for their daily financial transactions.”

“Purple December is our way of saying thank you to the millions of people who trust PalmPay to power their daily payments. “This year, the campaign is entirely digital, designed to meet our users where they already are on social media and online communities where they share, celebrate and connect.“Hanson said.

He added that the campaign aims to close the year by highlighting the voices and moments that defined 2025 for PalmPay users.

According to him, participants will engage in tasks that spotlight the brand’s impact, including its corporate social responsibility initiatives, ease of financial transactions, international recognitions and user experiences shared throughout the year.

The campaign will culminate in a Christmas-themed challenge, where users are required to create and submit short videos using the hashtag#PalmPayPurpleDecember with top-engaging entries standing a chance to win significant prizes, including an iPhone.

Hanson noted that the initiative reinforces PalmPay’s commitment to building a community-driven digital ecosystem.

“Every year, Nigerians tell us how PalmPay helps them save more, spend smarter and support their hustle. Purple December allows us to celebrate those stories publicly,” he said.

The Purple December campaign is currently live across PalmPay’s digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube and LinkedIn. Even as the company has encouraged users to follow weekly prompts and participate for a chance to win prizes.
