The Chairman of the Edo State Ecological/Climate Change Funding and Management Commission, Dr Blessing Agbomhere, has extended warm and heartfelt congratulations to the career and non-career ambassadors-designate, comprising Oduma Yvonne Ehinose, Wasa Shogun Ige, and Engr. Abbas Braimah, Ogbonnaya Kalu Esq., Reno Omokri, Femi Fani-Kayode, and the Senate have recently cleared others for diplomatic appointments.
In a press statement, he signed Agbomhere, the Senate’s clearance of the ambassadors-designate was described as a clear affirmation of the confidence reposed in these distinguished Nigerians, whose nomination by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is firmly rooted in their proven track record of commitment, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to national service.
Dr Agbomhere commends President Tinubu for prioritising merit, experience, and competence in strengthening Nigeria’s diplomatic presence across the globe. He notes that the ambassadors-designate have, over the years, rendered exemplary service to the nation in various capacities, adding that their elevation to represent Nigeria on the international stage is both well-deserved and timely, especially at a period when strategic global engagement is crucial.
The Commission further expresses confidence that the newly cleared ambassadors will uphold Nigeria’s longstanding diplomatic values and contribute meaningfully to advancing the country’s image and interests abroad.
As they prepare to assume their respective postings, the Commission appeals to them to sustain their proud tradition of diligence, integrity, and patriotism in the countries to which they will be accredited.
