A new Speaker has been elected by members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly. He is Rt. Hon. Gboyega Aribisogan, who represents Ikole State constituency.

Aribisogan, who was elected at plenary on Tuesday, replaced the immediate-past Speaker of the House, late Rt. Hon. Funminyi Afuye, who died last month after a brief illness.
