Rio Ferdinand, Manchester United legend, has expressed doubt regarding England international Bukayo Saka’s claim that Arsenal are “in control” of the Premier League title race against Manchester City.
The former England centre-back, speaking on his YouTube channel, also labelled Pep Guardiola’s side as a “beast” amid the title race. The Citizens trail Mikel Arteta’s men by two points after 17 games played so far.
“Bukayo Saka can’t really be saying, ‘Arsenal are in control of this season’s EPL title race,” Ferdinand remarked. “Not when you have that beast Man City lurking around. Only minutes before, City were above you (Arsenal).”
“I hope Saka is right and that Arsenal are thinking like that,” he added.
