A strong message of love, peace, and unity filled the air in Adamawa State’s Numan local government area, where the AB Haske Foundation hosted a colourful Christmas music concert that brought Christians from various churches together to celebrate the season.

The event, which also included food distribution to Christian families, drew a large crowd and created a welcoming festival atmosphere filled with songs, prayers, and smiles.

Miss Rejoice Ishaku, the chief organiser and personal assistant to Hon. Abdularahman Bashir Haske, said that the Christmas concert was organised to promote unity among Christians and Adamawa State residents.

She explained that Hon. Haske, who is also running for governor in 2026 and the founder of the AB Haske Foundation, inspired the programme.

“The Christmas concert is an idea developed by His Excellency Abdularahman Bashir Haske and sponsored by the AB Haske Foundation, with the sole purpose of building unity and peaceful coexistence among Christians and the people of Adamawa State,” she said.

She added that the concert is the first of its kind in the state and expressed hope that it would continue to unite Christians across denominations.

Miss Ishaku further explained that the foundation is widely known for supporting people affected by disasters and hardship across Adamawa State. According to her, the Christmas outreach forms part of the foundation’s mission to spread love and compassion during the festive season.

She also encouraged young Nigerians to participate actively in politics, saying youth involvement will help reshape leadership and governance across the country.

Religious leaders at the event praised the AB Haske Foundation for promoting Christian unity and well-being.

Pastor Blings Hosea Kosomso of Evergreen Church, Yola, and Rev. Yakisim Zuke of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria (LCCN — Majami’ar Ubangiji), in their separate remarks, expressed joy and gratitude over the mega Christmas gathering.

They said the concert gave hope to struggling families through the distribution of relief items such as bags of rice.

They also urged other leaders, philanthropists, and foundations to follow the AB Haske Foundation’s lead in promoting peace and human kindness.

Rev. Zuke said, “I urge every personality and foundation that has the capacity to bring people together to think as the Haske Foundation thinks. One cannot lead without uniting the people.”

The programme included lively musical performances from various church choirs, youth groups, and gospel artists. The stage was filled with carols, worship songs, and dance performances, creating a lively but respectful worship atmosphere.

Dignitaries at the event included Bishop Bulus Elam Taiya (Shalom Christian Centre, Numan), Bishop Rhema Bitrus (Shelter of Hope, Abundant Life Church), Bishop Emmanuel Augustine (Christian Word Centre), Rev. Yusuf Usman (Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria), and Rev. Anthony Ngbale (Anglican Church).

Many other clergy and church elders from different Christian groups were also in attendance.
